Every element of this cross — the main bars, the decorative scrollwork, the junction collars — is individually worked by hand in our forge. No casting, no stamping, no shortcuts. Each scroll is heated, bent, and finished by a blacksmith with over 35 years of experience. The result is a piece that carries the mark of real human craft in every curve.
Construction & Finish
The cross is built from solid mild steel bar stock, forged and assembled by hand. Once complete, it undergoes a hot-dip galvanization process — the entire piece is submerged in molten zinc, creating a permanent barrier against rust and corrosion. Over this, a static powder coat finish in matte black is applied for a clean, dignified appearance.
For customers who prefer a more traditional aged look, we also offer a hand-applied patina finish — a warm, dark brown-black tone that develops naturally over time and deepens with weathering. Please mention your preference when ordering.

Why Hand-Forged?
Factory-produced crosses are cast or bent cold from sheet metal. They look uniform because they are uniform — made by machines in the thousands. Our crosses are made one at a time, in small batches, by hand. That is why they cost more. That is also why they outlast everything else in the cemetery.
